In Memoriam of __ C. Taylor

I am dedicating The Taylor Learning Center to my wonderful mother, ____ C. Taylor. My mother was and always will be the greatest positive influence in my life. We were "best" friends. My mother was a hard worker. She taught me to strive for excellence and passed on to me an enduring work ethic.
In addition to being an endearing wife and mother, she was a musically gifted educator, an extraordinary seamstress, and a multitasking entrepreneur. If you had a question about making positive career choices, she definitely had an answer for you. She maintained her sense of humor and quick wit, her feisty and independent spirit, and her determination and concern for others until the end. My mother had an unwavering faith in God that sustained her through the many difficult times in her life.
My mother was suddenly diagnosed with ____ type of cancer and within six months of the diagnosis she made her transition. I took care of her, with my father in our home during the last months of her life; as she had dedicated her existence to taking care of our family and so many others. It is with the warm love for life and education of my mother that I developed The Taylor Learning Center.
Thank you mother for all the things you did for me throughout my life. You gave me joy, wise advice and unconditional, unwavering love. I am so grateful to God for allowing me the privilege and the honor of taking care of you as you took such good care of me and so many others. The greatest gift that you gave to me was your example of making the best of every situation, regardless. You definitely were tested throughout your life. Against all odds, you prevailed. You were a courageous, gracious and a strong spiritual lady. You are my mom and my "best" friend.
Please, let me leave you with this very fond memory of my mother. One day, not long before her transition, I asked my mom, "What is the meaning of life?" She answered, “Life is precious and short regardless of how long we live.”
My mother's message to you would be,
"Love, be kind to each other, and be Happy!"

"What lies before us and what lies behind us are small matters compared to what lies within us. And, when we bring what is within out into the world, miracles happen."
—Henry David Thoreau
